Andrea Mills Foundation Program Participants learn about the Stock Market through fun and games!
|
The Andrea Mills Foundation host classes where students learn about the
excitement of buying and selling on the Stock Market. Students play the
Traders Stock Market Game under the rules similar to those followed by
brokers at the New York Stock Exchange. Students learn to make decisions
regarding a company in terms of risks versus reward earning, revenue and
profit. A portfolio transaction form that records all buys and sells of stock
serves as the scoring sheet. Students also experience the effect that news
and analyst reports have on the companies they own. Students also learn
the role of a stockbroker and how they are paid via commissions per trade.
